ALYSHA HILL

Physiotherapist

Alysha was born in Renfrew and moved back to the area almost 10 years ago. She graduated from the University of Ottawa with an Honours BSc Degree in Biomedical Sciences, then went on to complete Master of Science degrees in both Physiotherapy and Aging & Health from Queen’s University. During her time at Queen’s she was awarded the Helen Chan Memorial Scholarship and Quinte-St. Lawrence District of the OPA Award, both granted on the basis of academic and clinical excellence. Since graduating, she has been working in both acute hospital and long-term care settings, and is thrilled to be expanding her practice at RCRC!

Alysha uses a patient-centered and evidence-based approach to treatment, applying a combination of education, exercise, and manual therapy to work together with patients to reach their goals. She has a particular interest in working with older adults, post-operative patients, as well as those experiencing neurological conditions including stroke, Parkinson’s disease and multiple sclerosis. She has completed courses in the areas of balance and falls prevention, as well as managing osteoarthritis and osteoporosis.

In her spare time, she enjoys spending time outdoors with her fiancé Dane and their two dogs Gladys and Myrtle, cooking and baking, as well as staying active through yoga and strength training. She is thrilled to join the RCRC team and looks forward to meeting you soon! Learn more about physiotherapy here.
